The Benin Women for Science (BW4S) is the Benin National Chapter of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). It is based at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Abomey-Calavi-Benin Republic.

In order to fulfil the objectives of OWSD, we committed to consolidate a database of women Scientists in Benin, provide personal mentorship to young girls and women in Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) and support national initiatives that aim to empower Benin women in STEAM.

BW4S is a dynamic non-profit association, founded by Benin women scientists involved in research and science activities from a significant variety of fields of knowledge who support the idea of improving the participation and the number of women in STEAM in Benin.

We believe that this platform will bring together enthusiastic women scientists and researchers, both living within the country and abroad to connect and work together in synergy for better development of Sciences in our country.
